Good and affordable data recovery solution

Pros: I like that it has many scanning options (which is good, but also in some instances not so good), including scanning for a file type. Partition recovery (as the name suggests) is one of the easiest things to do. RAID recovery and a boot disk also come with the Pro version, which are very useful things to have. What I particularly like about Active@ Partition Recovery is that it is a one-time purchase, which in a world where just about everything has become SaaS it sounds like a novelty. Yearly (paid) upgrades are optional, and if you don't want them, you don't need to buy them. Cons: The UI feels generic and outdated. Software with such functionality definitely deserves a facelift! Also, the scanning options can feel cumbersome and could be better explained.
